Speakers Around
the Table (SATT)
Professional Chapters
Back ground
In March 2006 the constitution of NSANZ was amended to provide
for a National Executive and a second category of chapter;
the Professional Chapter.
The Professional Chapter is for more seasoned Professional
Speakers who are looking for support as they refine or change
their business. Whereas the Speaker Chapters are about helping
speakers become established as professional speakers.
In September 2006 the National Executive approved the establishment
of the first Professional Chapter in NZ, called Speakers Around
the Table.
Speakers Around the Table (SATT)
The purpose of Speakers Around the
Table is to create a safe 'space' for professional speakers to support each other . sharing
ideas, stretching their thinking, appreciating each other's
expertise so work can be referred amongst members, laughing
and having fun.
Who to contact?
The monthly SATT meets are a mixture of socialising and
facilitated discussion to reveal deeper understandings. For
further details contact Debbie Mayo-Smith, the SATT President. debbie@successis.co.nz
Who can join?
The criteria for joining SATT is
that you are an established Professional Speaker as outlined
in Schedule 'A' of the constitution.
See below schedule 'A' of the NSANZ constitution.
However the executive of SATT do have discretion to allow
Professional Speakers who have not yet attained the accreditation
of APS or higher to join if they can demonstrate they have
a speaking business of a standard that commands a regular
fee greater than $2,000 per engagement.
It is envisaged that after a transition period of establishing
