To Speakers Visiting New Zealand – Kia Ora and Welcome!
Some overseas speakers want to combine speaking in New Zealand with
a holiday, to enjoy our magnificent scenery and outdoor attractions.
If you do visit, we would love to see you at one of our chapter meetings!
Do be aware though, that the Speaking Industry in New Zealand is quite
different from that in the USA or even Australia.
If you are visiting from the USA, you will find that, Speaker Bureaux
here tend to deal more with speakers who are celebrities - like TV presenters
or famous sportspeople.
Most bureaux will not take you on unless you have already established
a reputation (for example have written a well-received book, or have
been a celebrity sportsperson). If that’s you - great! If not - you
may have to be a bit more creative.
