Certified Speaking Professional
The CSP or Certified Speaking Professional accreditation is the highest accreditation available to working professional speakers in New Zealand.
Fewer than 10% of the speakers who belong to the Global Speakers Federation,
the body representing professional speaking associations worldwide,
hold this professional designation. CSP is the international standard
they agree represents competence in the speaking profession.
When you hire a CSP you know that you have a very experienced, industry
professional.
When you become a CSP, you have proved your professionalism as a speaker.
Only seven New Zealanders currently hold the CSP designation.
They are:
- Robyn Pearce CSP
- Ann Andrews CSP
- John Shackleton CSP
- Allison Mooney CSP
- Ralph Brown CSP
- Karen Boyes CSP
- Debbie Mayo-Smith CSP

Ann Andrews CSP
Ann
Andrews CSP is a past Auckland chapter president of NSANZ and a past NZ National
president. For 20+ years Ann has run an HR Consultancy specialising in creating
high performing teams. She is the MD of two companies - www.woetogo.com and
www.thecorporatetoolbox.com -
an online training company.
‘I wasn’t sure why I wanted the CSP designation; my business was perfectly successful without it, but I just know that if I’m given a target, I’ll go for it. Achieving that level of professional speaking required a lot of hard work over several years, but the effort was absolutely worth it.’
Ann is the only person in NSANZ to have been awarded ‘The Spirit of Excellence’ award twice (2000 and 2009). This is the highest award the association bestows in recognition not only of the highest standard of speaking but also of contribution to the professional speaking industry.

John
Shackleton CSP
"It took me a considerable amount of time and effort to get
my CSP designation but I can safely say that it's been one of the
best things I've ever done in my speaking career. It really helped
me to understand the level I had reached in my speaking business and
since receiving the qualification many new doors have opened up for
me and I've taken my business up at least three levels."

Allie
Mooney CSP
As a recipient of many prestigious awards through NSANZ Auckland
there is no doubt that NSANZ have contributed to my success as a professional
speaker.
The stimulating Monthly meetings, the learning, and the sharing of ideas on how to run a successful speaking business has all added to my story NSANZ is very unique that we are competitors of one another, yet we champion each other with great fervour.
The CSP designation is an award that only 5 other New Zealanders have and received. (Only 750 worldwide). Buyers of a conference speaker can be very confident, and reassured they are getting a true professional for their event.

ideas over coffee. That's the buzz. You feel you've made a contribution.
'I describe myself as an inspirational speaker with
substance. The substance comes from the research and 26 years working with
thousands of New Zealanders and Australians. The challenge is to
present fresh ideas in simple, practical ways - and to make those ideas
sticky.'
Ralph is the founder of Skillset
New Zealand,
based in Christchurch and Wellington. The company's
